Lisa Marie Presley’s incredible weight loss
“I’m at the weight I was at when I was a teenager!” she happily told People magazine last week. Lisa Marie’s daily diet now consists of vegetables, chicken, fish, nuts, fruit, almond milk, and fresh juices.
Diet and exercise overhaul
Lisa Marie’s weight has fluctuated dramatically over the years, but in 2012 she decided to overhaul her diet and started working out regularly after considering her family history of obesity and heart disease. Lisa Marie’s father, the late Elvis Presley, died at 42 after battling drug and food addictions.
“My father’s side is totally not healthy and they have shorter life spans, while my mom’s side is super fit with long life spans, and I didn’t know where I would land. So I said, ‘I’m going to play it safe and try to be as healthy as I can be.'”
Lisa Marie Presley’s biggest weight loss secrets
Lisa Marie said her biggest weight loss secret is portion control and limiting carbs. “I eat half of what I am given, especially when I have carbs or grains. I just had avocado with feta cheese on toast with some spinach. Last night I had vegetable chicken curry. I watch the rice, obviously. I’ll have a fistful.”
For exercise, Lisa Marie does 30 minute walking workouts every day. Although she has battled with weight issues most of her adult life, luckily she has never suffered the harrowing drug addiction that tainted the lives of her father Elvis and her late husband, Michael Jackson.
Now happily married and healthier than ever, Lisa Marie is in a great place both physically and mentally. “I love the way clothes fit right now,” she said. “Eating clean and organic is best.”
