How to Teatox

How to Teatox (detoxing with tea)

The everyday grind can definitely take a toll on your body. Because you’re probably so much busier these days, it is likely that you don’t have time to watch what you eat. With barely a few minutes for lunch, it could be a reality that you’ll just grab anything that can fill you up. Put a brake on the unhealthy habits by learning to detoxify with tea.

Why choose a Teatox to Detox?

As you probably know, tea offers a long list of health benefits. This makes it a formidable partner when you want to detox. Because the idea is to cleanse the body of toxins, it is definitely advisable to use Oolong tea. This particular type of tea is packed with lots of anti-oxidants and vitamins. You may want to try different teas to make sure you’re drinking one best fitting for you.

Generally, Oolong tea is popular because it helps burn fats. It speeds up your metabolic rate for up to 2 hours after drinking which equates to more burned energy. Aside from this, Oolong tea also will give you healthy skin, and healthy bones. Drinking tea also helps in rehydration which consequently helps in the detoxification process.

The benefits of detoxing with tea are numerous, but the most common feedback is that of increased energy, clearer skin, no more bloating and no more afternoon sugar cravings.

The Two-part Teatox process

It is recommended to follow a two-part teatox process: Cleanse and then Refresh.

  • Evening Blend (Cleanse)

Choose a Teatox that contains green tea or senna leaf tea. Senna is known as a mild natural laxative so it will help you in easily eliminating unwanted toxins. Our flavouring for the evening blend includes Hawthorn leaves, Lotus leaves and burdock root is completely sugar free. One teatox Evening Blend tea drink should be made up and drank every other evening before bed.

  • Daytime Blend (Refresh)

This is in support of the Evening Blend Cleanse phase. The objective is to replace all the lost electrolytes and vitamins from the cleansing. Ideally, it should be done on the morning after your night Cleanse. Note that refreshing is very, very important as this is essential to the entire detoxification process. We use oolong tea and add complementing ingredients such as ginseng, fennel, lemongrass and nettle leaves. If you find the flavour boring and want to add more taste you can add lemon or honey. One Daytime Blend (Refresh) should be made up and drank every day.

  • The directions to making Teatox are fairly simple and very similar to making a regular cup of tea.

-Add a teabag into your cup.

-Boil the kettle but leave the water to cool down for around 2 minutes.

-Pour the hot water in the cup.

-Finally leave the mixture to infuse for 2-3 minutes.

-Add lemon or honey if desired.

Important Reminders about Teatoxing

Teatoxing is a commitment. You should follow the recommended routine for periods of 14 or 28 days. Also, ensure that you change your diet plan according to the demands of teatoxing.

Keep track of your sleep schedule as well; your body also needs enough time for recharging.

This sounds easy and I’d like to try it.. I know green tea’s full of antioxidants and
that it’s supposed to be good for you, but I’d never heard of Oolong before
reading this post. Now I’ll have to look into it. I’m always interested in finding new and natural ways to live better and be healthier.
