Weight loss iPhone app launched

Weight loss iPhone app launchedAn iPhone app designed to help people lose weight and keep it off has been launched by Olson Applications.

Called 5 Minute Fat Loss 1.0, the app is also available on the iPod touch and iPad and it is designed to help users lose weight and get into shape using five-minute daily exercise routines.

It consists of more than 200 simple exercise routines that can be completed at home.

James Elder, founder and director of Olson Applications Limited, said: "Too often people trying to get into shape make unrealistic plans. They try to do too much too soon, get demoralised and then give up."

Mr Elder added that if this programme is used regularly and combined with a healthy diet, most users will see an improvement in between two and four weeks.

Back in December, a health and families feature for the Independent recommended that novice exercisers try the iFitness application, which has a database of 230 exercises and 100 video demonstrations of different fitness activities.

    Great idea, but I havent got any of the devices for the application. Shame!!

    This is a great idea, I would deff download this app. Thing is I think people will get bored after about 2-3 weeks?
