Olympic silver medallist Sasha Cohen reveals diet secrets

US skating champion and Olympic silver medallist Sasha Cohen has revealed the strict diet she sticks to in order to maintain her svelte figure.

Sasha is currently performing in the Stars on Ice tour with a number of other famous professional skaters including Alissa Czisny and Tanith Belbin.

“Before the show, I’ll eat bananas, yogurt and chicken for energy, and after the show, I’ll eat a big salad,” she told mlive.com.

She went on to say that she also loves avocados, nuts, spinach and broccoli and that she really enjoys travelling around Asia as chefs and cooks there know how to prepare vegetables properly.

According to avocado.org, avocados provide nearly 20 essential nutrients, including fibre, potassium, Vitamin E, B-vitamins and folic acid.

As for exercise, the skater obviously gets a lot just by doing her day job, but she told the website that she also loves yoga.

“I love yoga because it works on balance, strength, and flexibility,” she explained.
