Holidaymakers ‘try to lose weight fast after their break’

People often need to lose weight fast after a holiday.Poor quality diets during trips overseas are a major factor in the spike of people looking to lose weight fast after the end of the holiday season, new figures suggest.
Research by insurer Churchill has found that 23 per cent of Brits admit to having to go on a healthy detox on their return from holiday to try and lose weight fast.
It found that nearly half of holidaymakers admit to eating more on their break than normal, with 30 per cent treating themselves to more high sugar and fat snacks.

A quarter of those on all-inclusive breaks also admitted to drinking as much free alcohol as they could during their holiday to get the best value for money.
Last month, research published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition suggested that those trying to lose weight fast should eat at home and avoid restaurants, as this often leads people to consume a more nutritious diet.

    me too! I put half a stone on during my 2 week break and I remember putting nearly a stone on when I went on a 2 week all-inclusive holiday a few years back!

    This is me all over! Simply can’t help myself when I’m away but on the other hand I think its only 2 weeks of the year and I should be allowed to treat myself if I want to!
