Don’t skip breakfast when losing weight
People who are attempting to cut down on food in a weight loss attempt should not skip breakfast, one expert has noted.
Helen O'Donnell, presenter for Weight To Go diet food company, said that it is "vital" to start the day with a good breakfast, with evidence showing that people who eat a morning meal are slimmer than those who do not.
She added that some experts believe that eating breakfast are more likely to make healthier dietary choices throughout the rest of the day.
"Eating high fibre and slow release foods such as porridge or muesli helps to keep you feeling full until lunch and stops you from snacking on sugary treats," she explained.
Furthermore, it is always a good idea to have a piece of fruit on hand that is not too messy to eat, and you can snack on during the day, added Ms O'Donnell.
